This Privacy Policy describes how the “IndiaMART Lead Extractor to Google Sheets” (also known as LeadSync) Chrome Extension (“the Extension”) collects, uses, and protects your information.
The Extension is designed to act as a bridge between your IndiaMART account and your Google Sheets. To function, it interacts with the following data:
- IndiaMART Lead Data: The Extension reads lead data (such as buyer names, company names, product details, and phone numbers) directly from the IndiaMART pages you visit (e.g.,
seller.indiamart.com/messagecentre).
- Google Account Information: The Extension requests authentication via OAuth2 to access your Google account. We only request the minimum permissions necessary:
- View your email address and profile info (for authentication).
- See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets (to save your leads).
- See and download all your Google Drive files (required by the Sheets API to locate your spreadsheets).
- Local Settings: The Extension saves your preferences (such as your selected spreadsheet, worksheet, and auto-sync settings) locally within your browser using Chrome’s
storage API.
The data accessed by the Extension is used strictly for the core functionality of the tool:
- To extract lead information from your active IndiaMART dashboard.
- To transmit that extracted lead data directly to your chosen Google Sheet.
- To remember your configuration settings across browsing sessions.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your data to any external servers or third-party databases. The data flows directly from your local browser (IndiaMART) to your personal Google Sheet via Google’s official APIs.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information or lead data with any third parties. Your data remains entirely under your control.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use)
The Extension’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We only use the Google Sheets API to read and write lead data to the spreadsheet you explicitly select.
- We do not use your Google data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read your data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, doing so is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating a bug or abuse), to comply with applicable law, or for the extension’s internal operations (and even then, only when the data is aggregated and anonymized).
5. Security
The Extension communicates directly with Google’s secure API endpoints using HTTPS. Because your lead data and Google authentication tokens are processed locally in your browser and never pass through our servers, the security of your data relies on the security of your local machine and your Google Account.
6. Your Choices and Control
- Revoking Access: You can revoke the Extension’s access to your Google Account at any time by visiting your Google Account Security settings and removing the app’s permissions.
- Uninstalling: You can uninstall the Extension at any time from your Chrome browser. Doing so will remove all locally stored configuration data.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, if necessary, requesting re-authorization for new permissions in the Chrome Web Store.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or the Extension’s data practices, please contact the developer at:
